Join our brand new community FUNK performance team!
A purely not-for-profit group, the Funk team will perform at events such as community events, festivals, Latin and Brazilian dance events and Escola events.
A team player mentality, sense of integrity and community spirit are all essential qualities for this team. The Funk team will be coached by Nandara Nerys and will commence officially in January 2023.

WHAT DOES THE AUDITION INVOLVE?
The audition will run in a similar format to a Funk class, led by Nandara. An Intermediate level of Funk is ideal. The ability to execute the following elements in the audition class will be important:

Fundamental Funk technique movements (Intermediate level)

Learn and “perform” a short Funk choreography (Intermediate level)
REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS

A minimum Intermediate level of Brazilian Funk.

Commitment to attending a minimum of 1 Funk (Intermediate or Open level) class per week for regular training.

Commitment to attending a monthly team training session on the third Thursday of each month from 8.30pm - 10.00pm.

A team player mentality and respect for team leaders and fellow members.

Genuine love for Funk and commitment to representing the culture with respect and integrity.
